I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing individual therapy in California.
I work with Black women who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and those having difficulty managing life transitions. I work with women who need assistance with creating a work life balance, women who are managing unhealthy relationships, women with self-esteem issues, and women who need guidance with addressing life stressors.
As a Black women and South Central native, it is my passion to transform lives, promote mental health awareness to people like me, provide culturally responsive treatment, and erase the stigma around mental health.
The core of my practice is grounded on using compassion and Evidence Based Practices to help you make the steps towards change, transformation, and healing.
I have worked in the community mental health sector since 2012. I currently work for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health where I work in an outpatient setting serving adults with various mental health disorders. In addition, I'm an Adjunct Professor with the School of Social Work at Portland State University.
Life is about learning and unlearning. It is up to us, to change and shift the narrative of our life trajectory to build a life worth living, to heal, and to grow. Taking the steps towards healing can be difficult, but so is staying the same. It is my hope that I am able to guide you on your personal journey to healing and growth.
